The AC Entrance Examination consists of a first and second screening.
The candidate will be screened based on documents submitted at the time of application. In the first screening, special emphasis will be given to the student’s self-recommendation letter (the letter plus documents to support it) and their statement on reasons why they have chosen the school.

In the second screening, candidates who passed the first screening are given individual interviews and oral examinations, which are used along with the submitted documents to make a comprehensive decision. For the interview and oral examination, individuals will be given about 30 minutes to discuss primarily the content of the self-recommendation letter submitted during their application as well as their suitability (academic ability, knowledge, motivation, etc.) for studying at the school/college they have applied to.

Objective

This entrance examination seeks active students who have acquired problem-solving skills. Problem-solving ability refers to having the temperament and skills to be aware of issues, learn about them for yourself, think about them for yourself, and uncover better solutions.

This entrance examination is based on self-recommendation, in which the candidate is assessed in a comprehensive, multi-faceted manner based on document screening as well as an interview and oral examination. Assessments are made from a different perspective than written entrance examinations or school referrals.

This entrance examination requires that students argue their own suitability toward studying at the university. Please present on an issue you have discovered, studied, considered, autonomously decided, and worked toward yourself in a self-recommendation letter. The screening will focus on the problem-solving abilities gleaned from that letter.

This examination is open to a wide range of candidates eligible to enter university, including students who have graduated or are planning to graduate high school as well as people who graduated high school several years prior and have been active in society.

Admission Policy

We select students who can independently acquire expertise related to fields in the humanities, refine their own judgement, and possess creative problem-solving skills.
